Every summer the library offers special programming for youth ages 3 and older.

In 2024, we celebrated "Wild About Books."  Whether reading with a parent or reading independently, children were encouraged to "Take 20" and read at least 20 minutes 20 days in June and 20 days in July.  The library provided tracking calendars and weekly giveaways. 

In addition to the reading program, the library offers a variety of programs throughout the summer. You can browse  our event calendar for more information. 

The library is also a great place to hang out. Our wild animals were out all summer just waiting for the kids to stop by.  Our "zookeepers" played at our dramatic play areas and there were plenty of other activities to keep kids busy such as scavenger hunts, bingo, board games, building blocks, puzzles and Legos.

It was a wild time at the library during the summer of  2024.
