In 2016 Oglesby Public Library District Board of Trustees, the Library Director, and library staff members began working on a strategic plan with input from the people of Oglesby. A Strategic Plan for 2017-2022  was adopted at the board meeting on March 27, 2017.

The Library Board continues to revisit the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan progress was reviewed and updated at the board meeting on March 25, 2019.
