New Vacant Board Seat, September 29, 2015

May contain: adult, male, man, person, head, face, photography, and portrait

The Oglesby Public Library District Board of Trustees has accepted with regret the resignation of Evelyn Moyle and appointed her as President Emeritus of the Board.

Now the board seeks applicants to fill this vacant seat. This individual would be appointed as a trustee until the next library board election in 2017. In that election he or she would have the opportunity to run for election for the remaining two years of Evelyn’s term.

Board meetings are held at the library, typically on the fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 PM.

Any resident of Oglesby, 18 years of age or older, is invited to apply. Please submit a letter of interest to the Library Board at 111 S. Woodland Ave., Oglesby, IL 61348.

The letter must contain your name and home address and should answer at least two of the following questions: 1) Why do you want to be a library board member? 2) What experience have you had in library-related activities or committees? 3) What community, business, or volunteer experiences do you have that are relevant to library board work?
