April brings rain showers and special events to the Oglesby Library.
April 7, Oglesby Library is kicking off National Library Week by participating in the Illinois Valley Library Road Trip with 18 other libraries.
Monday, April 29 t 6 Pm, the library is privileged to be hosting Dr. Mirjam Milharčič Hladnik, co-author ofDaring Dreams of the Future: Slovenian Mass Migrations 1890-1945, now published in English. Dr. Mirjam Milharčič Hladnik, is a leading researcher of Slovenian-Americans and their achievements. Dr. Mirjam Milharčič Hladnik, is traveling the U.S. discussing how nearly half a million Slovenians left their homeland to build new lives. The United States has the highest concentrations of Slovenians outside of Europe.
