7th and 8th grade students are invited to work at the library after school with technologies that support their History Fair projects. We have a 3D printer and 3D pens (for small artifacts), a Cricut machine (for 2D display elements), and will have a digital camera and a laptop (for videos and video editing). Different technologies will be introduced in different weeks. Oglesby Library is Bringing History into the Future with Technology, due to a Project Next Generation grant. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
Teen Tech begins Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, from 3:30 – 6 PM and continues on Tuesdays & Thursdays until 11/19 (some weeks until 5 PM)
