A World Gone Mad 4/18/2017

World gone mad

On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 1:00-3:00 PM, historian Jim Gibbons will take you through two of the most catastrophic wars in our nation’s history. In his presentation: “A World Gone Mad: World War I and World War II,” Jim highlights significant events that thrust the United States into two unwanted wars. These events include the Assassination of the Arch Duke Ferdinand, the sinking of the luxury liner Lusitania, Hitler’s ambition to achieve power, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the dropping of the Atomic Bomb and much, much, more!

Sponsored by the Friends of the Oglesby Library.
